Bhai Dooj 2010 Date
Bhai Dooj or Bhaiya Duj is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals. Bhai Dooj 2010 date is March 2 just after the Holi. Bhai Duj is celebrated twice in a year, once after Holi and another after Diwali. However, Bhai Dooj after Diwali is more prominently celebrated all across the country. This festival is celebrated on the second day after full moon.

On the occasion of Bhaiya Dooj, usually sisters visit their brothers and apply Tilak or Teeka (vermilion dot on forehead) to their brothers. Afiter it, sisters perform Aarti and offer sweets. Brothers give various gifts to their sisters affectionately.
It is believed that this festival is one of the most ancient festivals of India and indicated in Vedic Suktas where God of death Yama is described to be affectionately welcomed by his sister Yami. Some people believe that it is most auspicious to take holy dip in the river Yamuna on the occasion of Bhai Dooj with their brothers/sisters.
