There are going to be total three eclipses in 2012, out of which two are solar eclipses and one is lunar eclipse. Only one Surya grahan in India can be seen this year i.e. only one solar eclipse can be witnessed from India in 2012. However, the only lunar eclipses cannot be seen from India.

1. Annular Solar Eclipse (Kankanakriti Surya Grahan)
Annular solar eclipse, which is the first eclipse of the year, can be seen on May 21, 2012. It can be witnessed from most of the south-east Asia, China, Russia, Indonesia, Hawaii, North America, Arctic and some parts of the eastern India. As per the Indian Standard Time, the starting time of this solar eclipse is 2:26 am on 21st and its ending time is 8:19 am. Effect of this Surya Grahan on different signs is as follows:

It can be seen on November 13/14, 2012. This Surya Grahan is not visible in India.
