Ketu Transit 2027: Ketu is a shadowy planet. Rahu and Ketu are referred to as shadowy planets by our ancients because, cosmically, they are not significant luminous bodies with a recognizable shape or mass, unlike the Sun, Moon, and other planets. The two points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Sun’s path are known as nodes, and they lie exactly 180 degrees apart. The north node is called Rahu, and the south node is called Ketu. They also move in retrograde motion along the zodiac belt. Rahu and Ketu are believed to remain in each sign for about a year and a half.
These two parts of a single body, according to Hindu mythology, have been symbolized in the distinctive way they are. After the ocean (Samudra Manthan) was churned, a Puranic legend says that a divine elephant, a horse, a physician, the Goddess of Wealth Lakshmi, and Dhanvantari emerged holding the Amrit. A serious dispute arose among the Devas and Asuras regarding the distribution of the Amrit. The Supreme Lord Vishnu, taking the form of the apsara Mohini, assumed responsibility for distributing the Amrit with the consent of both Devas and Asuras.

Swarbhanu, one of the Asuras, secretly joined the line of the Devas and managed to receive a portion of the Amrit, but Surya Devta and Chandra Devta discovered and exposed him. By then, all of the Amrit had already been consumed by the Devas. At that moment, the Supreme Lord Vishnu severed Swarbhanu’s head and divided his body into two parts. However, since he had consumed a few drops of the Amrit, both parts remained alive even after being separated. The head and the body were given the names “Rahu” and “Ketu.” As a result, the Sun and the Moon became enemies of Rahu and Ketu. Because of this enmity, Rahu and Ketu occasionally succeed in swallowing the Sun and the Moon, a phenomenon known as an eclipse. But the Sun and the Moon manage to escape because Rahu and Ketu are immortal.
The 2026 Ketu Transit is one of the most important planetary transits because Ketu stays in one sign for almost 18 months. It takes around 18 years to complete one full zodiac cycle. In 2027, Ketu will remain in the Leo sign until December 5, 2026. After that, it will move to the Cancer sign after December 5, 2026.

Cancer represents mind, travel, food and water.. It also represents comfort and mother in your life because it is the natural fifth house of the Kalpurush horoscope. Now, the planet Ketu is transiting this sign, whose energy is completely opposite to that of Cancer because Ketu is all about detachment, letting go of materialistic gains and desires, and living in isolation. Ketu is also the karaka of spirituality, meditation, and occult knowledge. Ketu does not feel very comfortable here because it rejects everything offered by the Cancer sign and makes the native experience Ketu’s energy instead.
During this transit, Ketu will break the ego of people and test the leadership qualities of leaders or those in authority. The transit of Ketu in Cancer is not a favorable period for royal families around the world, as disturbances or splits may be seen among them.
These are general predictions about how this transit may influence your zodiac sign. But before moving ahead, let me remind you that these are broad observations; for more specific predictions, you need to get your individual horoscope checked by an astrologer.
