2022 House Warming Ceremony Rituals

In Hinduism, there is a special tithi or date calculated for performing every auspicious work, during which people worship and venerate the gods and goddesses to seek their blessings and fulfil their purpose of performing the ritual. Griha Pravesh Sanskar holds great importance in Hinduism. Performing this ritual as per the provision brings happiness in the house, and the divine deity always resides there. This ritual also eliminates the mistakes and omissions made knowingly or unknowingly while building a house. So let us tell you the entire ritual of Housewarming Ceremony-

First of all, on the day of the Griha Pravesh Sanskar, tie a string of flowers or mango leaves on the main gate of the house in the morning. Decorate the house with flowers and rangoli. Now, fill Gangajal in an urn or Kalash, establish it and place a coconut on top of it with Mango or Ashoka leaves. After this, begin the Griha Pravesh Puja after making a Swastika with kumkum on the urn and coconut. Keep in mind that when the main ritual begins, then all the members of the house should be present at the place of worship at that time. You should do this puja under the guidance of a Pandit. When the worshipping ritual is complete, enter your new house in the sunlight with the Kalash.

To obtain auspicious fruits, the person who has participated in the ritual with five auspicious items (coconut, yellow turmeric, jaggery, rice, milk) should first enter the house by extending his/her right leg and then his/her left leg. The idol of Lord Ganesh ji, Shri Yantra and the south-facing Conch should be brought into the house on the day of worship. Make a symbol of Swastika at the main door of the house, kitchen and altar or Pija Ghar, and worship Lord Ganesh after establishing his idol at the main entrance. When Lord Ganesha is venerated, then install the Kalash in the northeast corner of the house or Puja Ghar.

After the Griha Pravesh Sanskar is performed, worship the kitchen area also. After that, make something sweet, and firstly offer it to God and then to a Brahmin or anyone who is needy or poor. Offer them some Dakshina as well.
