Lakshmi Puja is a Hindu festival celebrated in honor of goddess Lakshmi, wife of Lord Vishnu. Goddess Lakshmi is known as the Goddess of wealth & prosperity.

The worship is generally performed before a corn basket painted in red, filled with rice, decorated with flowers and covered with a piece of cloth. Sometimes an image is made in the shape of a female sitting on the water lily holding a necklace in her left hand, and spreading out the right to bestow her blessing.

To seek the blessings of the goddess, people stay awake her throughout the night and chant Mantras to honor her. Make sure to worship the Goddess Lakshmi with pure heart & soul and seekh her eternal blessings this year, i.e. on Lakshmi Puja 2015.
