On a full moon day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and wear clean clothes. This purifies both the body and the mind.
During the 2026 Purnima fast, the devotees can consume water and fruits. But, it is advised not to consume food on this day.
During the fast, people need to worship Lord Vishnu and the Moon God. After taking a bath, clean the place of worship in your house and light a lamp there. Then place flowers, incense, a lamp, whole rice, and other offerings in front of the lord’s idol.
