The planet Saturn is called Shanaiswara in Vedic astrology. In Sanskrit Shanaiswara comes from SANISCHARA, which mean, “slow mover”. In Vedic astrology Saturn represents loss of awareness or ignorance because of his nature. Saturn is a brutal planet.

It’s widely known that Sadesati and Dhayya of Saturn are dangerous. The person affected by these periods face a lot of problems. But, there are some yogas that helps a person to get benefit from Saturn. One of these yoga is Shani-Pushya yoga.

This rare yoga will come this year on 30th October, 2010. It is believed that Shani showers blessings during this yoga. Though Pushya nakshatra comes after every 27 days. Yet Pushya nakshtra before Deepawali is considered very auspicious. Pushya nakshatra gives result according to the day, on which it falls. This year Pushya yoga is falling on Saturday, which is very rare. Last time, this type of Shani-Pushya yoga was seen in year 1980.

Saturn is cold and dry, tamasik (lethargic) and elderly planet. His sight is bad and he is said to be the most malefic amongst malefics. When Saturn is ill posited, it brings sorrow, delay, obstruction, disputes and difficulties.

People affected by Shani can see some relief during this Shani-Pushya yoga. They can further ease their problems by worshipping God Saturn during this yoga period. The affected person should also do some charity during Shani-Pushya yoga.

This Shani-Pushya yoga is very rare. The people associated with works governed by Saturn will definitely get benefit on 30th October. People associated with information technology, jurisdiction, iron etc must do Saturn’s special worship. People should donate oil and chant Hanuman Chalisa. Whatever is your sign, it will give you relief and blessings of lord Shani.
