Jagadhatri Puja 2012 date is 4 November. Jagadhatri Puja is observed on the ninth day of the waxing phase of moon in Kartik month.

Jagaddhatri, the nurse or mother of the world, is another form of Durga; she is represented as a yellow woman, dressed in red, and sitting on a lion. At this time a very popular festival is held in her honour, when bloody sacrifices are offered, and large sums expended in illuminations, dances, songs, feasting the Brahmans. The benefits expected from this worship are the four things usually promised in the Hindu Shastras by the gods to their votaries; viz, the fruit of meritorious actions riches the gratification of every desire and future happiness.
