Know about Lakshmi & Arista Yoga

The term “yoga” means “combination”. Vedic astrology talks about numerous planetary combinations which can be either auspicious and beneficial or inauspicious and harmful for the native. I will talk about two very important yoga in this article.

LAKSHMI YOGA

As the name suggest this is a yoga which bestows “lakshmi” or “wealth” to the native.  It is different from dhan yoga as dhan yoga exclusively gives “money” while lakshmi yoga is the one which may grant benefits to the native not merely in cash but in kind.

This yoga gives prosperity and material benefits to the native. This yoga is formed when the lord of ninth house is exalted, or in its own sign, and also a lord of an angle or a trine. This yoga is strengthened if venus, which is the karaka for “lakshmi” is also exalted, in own sign or placed in a quadrant or a trine.

However, this yoga is weakened if the ascendant lord is weakly disposed in the birth chart.

ARISTA YOGA

This is a poverty/hardship yoga which brings problems in the native’s life. This yoga is formed when the lord of evil houses sixth, eighth and twelfth combine with the lord of quadrants or trines.

This yoga is most influential when the dusthana lord combines with the ascendant lord. All the negative yogas bring hardships in the person’s life but these are the very things that make the native mature, and even more mature than those who have natural good yogas in their birth-charts.

If the native avoids the more tempting path of falling into pessimistic attitude, such yogas help the native to attain spiritual maturity and then they can rethink about their strategies to attain their goals.
